October 2011 sale.

Despite a large entry of 181 bulls the average for 108 sold increased by £482 to £4841.

Scottish Members had a great sale with top-price of 22,000gn's  for Dirnanean Bradley

a son of Halenook Vargner from the McGowans  selling to Jimmy & Iain Green for their Corskie Herd.

Next best was Billy and Anne MacPherson selling Blackford Ben-Mhor for 16,000gn's to Richard McCulloch.

Senior champion from Northern Ireland breeder Cecil McIlwaine , Corrick Benson was next best at 12,000gn's selling to Brian Grant 

Druids Temple, Inverness.

Douglas Smith received 10,000gn's for Boswell Bullet by Hockenhull Matthew, selling to Terry Coghill, Orkney.

Female Champion Strathisla Angelina's Haka sold for 4500gn's to Richard Simmers, Peterhead.


February 2012.

Simmental Breeders had their best ever average at the February sale seeing 119 bulls average £6236 with a 83% clearance.

up £1827 on the year.

72 bulls sold for over 5000gn and 10 bulls made over 10000gn.

Top price was 19000gn for Grangewood Baron from the Leadhams, selling to Club Members Messrs Ward, West Mains, Carnwath.

Highest price from Club Members was 18000gn from the Stronach Family for their Overall champion, Islavale Brilliant by Curaheen Vobster, selling to R.Brunton , Arbroath.

Next best was 17000gn from Robert MacGregor for Team Banker by Team Volvo, selling to John Dykes.

Auchorachan Barry sold for 12000gn from Michael Durno.


Females sold to 4800gn for the reserve champion from Iain Green , Corskie Aspire. Iain also sold his female champion, Corskie Acqua  for 4500gn to Jim and Patricia Goldie.
